Kwara United Frustrate Plateau United with Goalless Draw in Jos

Kwara United held Plateau United to a goalless draw on Sunday at the New Jos Stadium, extending their unbeaten run against the hosts this season after a 2-0 win in Ilorin earlier in the campaign.

The visitors controlled much of the first half but failed to create clear-cut chances. Plateau United pushed for a winner late in both halves, but Kwara United goalkeeper Suraju Aiyeleso stood firm with eight crucial saves against his former club.

In stoppage time, Kwara United nearly snatched victory when Junior Aimufua missed a golden opportunity.

Head coach Tunde Sanni applauded his players’ effort but expressed disappointment over the missed chance to grab all three points.

Kwara United stay 10th on the NPFL25 table and will host Bendel Insurance next in Ilorin. While Plateau United occupies 12th spot and will travel to Lafia to face Nasarawa United.
