As the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) enters a decisive phase, Enyimba FC's no-nonsense defender, Afolayan Temitope Peters, has issued a rallying call ahead of their high-stakes showdown against table-toppers Remo Stars FC on Thursday at 4 pm in Ikene.

Peters, who returns to action after serving a suspension for a red card picked up against Niger Tornadoes, is eager to help The People's Elephant get back to winning ways. Enyimba's recent home draw against Bayelsa United was a setback, but the former Heartland FC captain remains optimistic about their chances of closing the gap at the top of the table.

"Our game on Thursday against Remo Stars is an important one, and it's very important to us. We are going to give it our best to secure the three points," Peters said, exuding confidence ahead of the crunch fixture.

Born and raised in the football-loving streets of Ajegunle, Lagos, Peters has built a career on resilience and determination. He believes that Enyimba has what it takes to return to the continental stage if they maintain a strong run of form in the final stretch of the season.

"About returning to the continent, if we continue winning our games, definitely we will find ourselves there because the gap is not too much. Let's just keep winning, and we can get ourselves back to the continent," he added.
