Sunday Megwo Confident as Abia Warriors Face Heartland in Oriental Derby

Abia Warriors striker and top scorer, Sunday Megwo, has expressed confidence ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 30 clash against Heartland FC at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking to the club’s media team, Megwo, popularly known as "Sunny," acknowledged the difficulty of the fixture but remained optimistic about securing all three points in Owerri.

"They beat us 2-0 in Umuahia, and we’ve been working hard to ensure we reclaim those points. A derby is always tough, but with the effort we’ve put in, I believe we will get the maximum points," he said.

The CHAN Eagles invitee also reiterated his personal ambition of finishing as the league’s top scorer.

"The highest scorer has 14 goals, and I have nine. My goal from the start of the season has been to finish as the top scorer, so I will keep pushing."
