The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has reiterated the compulsory requirement for clubs to hold post-match press conferences, warning of sanctions for non-compliance.
In a statement signed by NPFL Chief Operating Officer Davidson Owumi, the league reminded clubs of their obligations following a pre-season workshop where Club Media Officers were trained on their matchday duties.

The NPFL emphasized that post-match conferences must feature both team managers, captains, or any player requested by the media. However, it noted that some clubs have been violating this rule, depriving the league of essential media content.
To enforce compliance, the NPFL has mandated that all home clubs host these conferences in a structured and professional manner, preferably in NPFL-branded media rooms, as required under club licensing regulations.
Failure to adhere to this directive will result in sanctions for club media officers.
This move aims to enhance media coverage and professionalism within the league.
