The Nigeria National League (NNL) has entered its mid-season break, with clubs now focusing on strengthening their squads ahead of the second stanza of the 2024/2025 season. The league will resume from Friday, March 21, to Sunday, March 23, 2025, across its four conferences: A, B, C, and D.
Conference Standings After the First Stanza
- Conference A: Crown FC leads with 21 points and a +4 goal difference, followed by Warri Wolves with 20 points and a superior +7 goal difference. Smart City of Lagos sits third with 18 points and a +5 goal difference.
- Conference B: Khun-Khalifa of Owerri tops the table with 25 points and a +7 goal difference, while Osun United follows with 22 points and the same goal difference. Solution FC holds third place with 17 points.
- Conference C: Wikki Tourists lead with 13 points and a +7 goal difference, trailed by Mighty Jets with 11 points and a +3 goal difference. Gombe United sits third with 9 points.
- Conference D: Yobe Desert Stars top the table with 11 points, while Basira FC and Doma United follow with 10 points each.
Mid-Season Transfer Window and Playoff Race
The NNL transfer window is now open and will close on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Clubs have the opportunity to reinforce their squads before the league restarts.
The second stanza will kick off on Friday, March 21, after the mid-season break officially ends on Thursday, March 20. At the end of the campaign, the top two teams from each conference will qualify for the NNL Super 8 Promotional Playoff, where they will battle for a place in the top flight.
Teams now have a crucial period to prepare as the race for promotion intensifies.
