The Nationwide League One (NLO) Secretariat has announced the list of medical doctors and their schedules for the upcoming NLO25 Players Pre-Competition Medical Assessment Exercise, set to take place from Saturday, March 15, to Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
The exercise, which will be conducted across various stadiums in Nigeria, is a crucial step in ensuring players' fitness ahead of the new season. The assigned doctors will be stationed at designated venues across different states, conducting medical assessments for players participating in the competition.
According to the released list, Dr. John Anieze has been assigned to multiple locations, including Umuahia, Awka, Enugu, and Owerri. Other notable assignments include Dr. Frank Emayomi at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Delta State, Dr. Ibrahim Tijani in Bauchi, and Dr. Olajide Adebola, who will oversee multiple venues, including Ilorin, Minna, and Abuja.
Some of the stadiums hosting the medical screenings include:
- Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos
- Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano
- Pantami Stadium, Gombe
- U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar
- Adamasigba Stadium, Ibadan
The NLO emphasizes that all participating clubs must ensure their players undergo the medical assessment within the stipulated timeframe to meet the league’s health and safety requirements.
