Lobi Stars have taken a bold step in their fight to turn around their faltering season, appointing Tope Bulus as head coach following the departure of Muhammed Baba Ganaru.
With the NPFL reaching a critical stage, club chairman Dr. Philip Nongu expressed his disappointment over the team's poor second-round performance, stressing that discipline and commitment are now non-negotiable. Flanked by Benue State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange, and FA Chairman Barr. Dr. Paul Edeh, Nongu made it clear that only results will secure players' futures at the club.
FA Chairman Barr. Edeh delivered a stern warning: "Lobi Stars is bigger than all of us. The last 10 matches must be approached as must-wins." Commissioner Ikyange reinforced this stance by announcing a performance-based payment structure, stating that only those who deliver on the pitch will be rewarded.
Senior players, including Tar Akombo, Save Okoh, John Gaadi, and Sam Addingi, acknowledged the team's struggles and vowed to fight for survival. "Lobi Stars will not be relegated," they assured.
Tope Bulus, a proven tactician with experience at clubs like MFM FC, Rangers International, and Katsina United, now shoulders the responsibility of leading the team’s resurgence. With just 10 matches remaining, Lobi Stars have made it clear—there is no room for complacency.
