NA Royal FC emerged victorious in the Oriade Preseason Tournament after defeating Oriade FC 3-0 in a thrilling final. The victory capped off a remarkable campaign for the team, showcasing their dominance on the pitch.
The final match remained goalless at halftime, with both teams displaying solid defensive play. However, NA Royal FC took control in the second half, scoring three brilliant goals to secure the title.
Hammed Adigun broke the deadlock in the 58th minute with a precise header from a well-delivered corner kick. Idowu Hope extended the lead in the 71st minute, capitalizing on a defensive error by Oriade FC's Oladosu. Just three minutes later, Seal put the game beyond doubt by slotting home a superb pass from the edge of the box.
Head Coach Ahmed Bolaji praised his players for their outstanding performance and attributed the victory to their relentless hard work and dedication. He also dedicated the trophy to the club’s CEO, acknowledging his unwavering support throughout the journey.
"We engaged in numerous friendly matches and rigorous training sessions without relenting. The competition has pushed us to our limits, and I believe we still have room for improvement in terms of team tactics," Coach Bolaji said.
Despite the triumph, Bolaji acknowledged the need to fine-tune strategies ahead of the upcoming league season.
