Niger Tornadoes Prepare for North Central Derby Against Nasarawa United

Niger Tornadoes wrapped up their preparations with a light training session ahead of their North Central derby against Nasarawa United at the Lafia City Stadium. The Ikon Allah Boys are determined to secure a positive result as they look to maintain their strong away form.

Head coach Majin Mohammed addressed the players before training, stressing the importance of securing points after the goalless draw in the first-leg fixture in Minna. He urged the squad to meet expectations and continue their impressive performances on the road.

The team, however, will be without key midfielder Papa Daniel, who picked up a minor injury during their midweek victory over Kwara United. His absence could impact the midfield setup, requiring adjustments from the coaching staff.

Winger Rickson Mendos also missed the squad due to illness, further limiting Tornadoes’ attacking options. The team will have to rely on available players to step up in what promises to be a tightly contested encounter.

With both teams eager to claim bragging rights in the derby, fans can expect an intense battle at the Lafia City Stadium. Nasarawa United will be keen to capitalize on home advantage, while Niger Tornadoes aim to extend their strong form away from home.
