NPFL: It Was A Fair Result – Coach Ilechukwu

Enugu Rangers’ coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has described the outcome of their goalless draw against Heartland FC as a fair result. The closely contested match, held at the Dan Anyim Stadium, saw both teams battle intensely without finding the back of the net.

Speaking after the match, Ilechukwu noted that while his team aimed for all three points, they were content with sharing the spoils. "We came here for the 3 points, but at the end of the day, we had to settle for one point," he said.

The coach highlighted the intensity of the fixture, acknowledging the fierce rivalry between the two sides. "It was a 50-50 game, a very intense derby; as you know, Heartland versus Rangers is always a tough contest. We managed a goalless draw, and there's no shame in that," Ilechukwu remarked.

The result, according to Ilechukwu, reflected the effort and resilience of both teams. "It was a hard-fought match, and both teams left with a point each. For me, it's a fair result, not a bad one at all," he added. His comments underline his satisfaction with his team’s performance in the challenging encounter.

The stalemate keeps Enugu Rangers in the mix as they look to maintain momentum in the Nigeria Premier Football League. Fans will be hoping the team builds on this result to secure wins in their upcoming fixtures.
