Monday Odigie Resigns as Bendel Insurance Head Coach

Monday Odigie has officially stepped down as the head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League side Bendel Insurance. The experienced tactician, who guided the Benin Arsenal back to the NPFL four seasons ago and led them to a CAF Confederation Cup campaign, submitted his resignation letter to the club's secretary, Mr. Charles Ihikmekpen.

The resignation comes amid a challenging period for Bendel Insurance. The team narrowly avoided relegation last season and has struggled in the current 2024/2025 campaign. With just 12 points from 12 matches, the club currently sits at the bottom of the league table, compounding their woes.

Odigie's departure marks the end of an era, as he played a significant role in the club’s resurgence. However, the team now faces the tough task of finding a replacement capable of steering them out of their current difficulties and revitalizing their league performance.
