In a momentous event on Friday, August 16th, 2024, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) recognized the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Dr. Hyacinth Alia, as Grand Patron. This honor was bestowed upon him by 20 Media Directors from the NPFL during a gathering held in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State. The recognition came during a two-day Workshop/Seminar organized by the NPFL.

Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer of NPFL, emphasized the summit’s objective of equipping media officers with essential skills and knowledge. He noted that the seminar was designed to empower attendees to return to their communities and foster improved engagement with the league.
