Falconets Land in Wyndhad Hotel, Bogota, Days to Clash With Koreans

The Nigerian U20 women’s football team, known as the Falconets, have arrived at the Wyndhad Hotel in Bogota, Colombia. This will serve as their base for the initial phase of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Colombia 2024. The team is set to stay here for their first two matches of the tournament, with their accommodations and preparations now firmly in place.

Having demonstrated impressive form leading up to the World Cup, the Falconets netted 27 goals across eight matches, including six competitive fixtures and two friendlies. Their arrival in Bogota was marked by high spirits and a strong sense of anticipation as they prepare to face Korea Republic in their opening match on September 2nd.

Following their match against Korea Republic, the Falconets will continue their group stage campaign with two additional games. They will take on Germany, the three-time champions, on September 4th, also in Bogota. This will be a key fixture, given Germany's storied history in the tournament.

The Falconets' final group match is scheduled against Venezuela on September 7th, with the game taking place in Cali. The team’s performance in these initial encounters will be crucial in determining their progress in the tournament.
