The team met with the Honorable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, and the Permanent Secretary, Tinuke Watti, marking a formal farewell as they prepared to compete on the global stage.
The Falconets are set to compete in Group D of the tournament, where they will face formidable opponents: Germany, Venezuela, and Korea Republic. Their first match is scheduled for September 1st against Korea Republic at 18:00 local time at the El Techo Stadium in Bogota. This will be followed by a critical game against Germany on September 4th at 17:00 at the same venue. Their final group stage fixture will see them take on Venezuela on September 7th at 15:00 in Cali.
