New Leadership of SWAN Embarks on Familiarization Visit to Nasarawa State FA Chairman

In a significant move towards strengthening the relationship between sports journalists and the football governing body in Nasarawa State, the newly elected leadership of the Sports Writers' Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Nasarawa State Chapter, paid a familiarization visit to the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Football Association, Salisu Usman Galadima 'Basira', on Friday, July 19, 2024.

A Warm Reception

The SWAN delegation, led by Chairman Smah George, was warmly received by the FA Chairman and his team at the FA Secretariat in Lafia. The delegation comprised Vice Chairman Umar Muhammed, Secretary Leonard Abel, Assistant Secretary Umudjon Michael, Financial Secretary Nehemiah Gwamna, and Welfare Officer Eche Amos, alongside other members of the Association.

The visit aimed to introduce the new SWAN leadership to the FA Chairman and his Board, discuss areas of collaboration and mutual interest, and explore ways to enhance the working relationship between sports journalists and the football governing body in the State. The meeting provided a platform for both parties to exchange ideas on various issues, including:
