Remo Stars back on top with a triumphant victory against Lobi Stars

Remo Stars reclaimed the top spot on the NPFL24 log following the victory over Lobi Stars in Ikenne on Thursday night. Sikiru Alimi and Adams Olamilekan both found the back of the net, securing a 2-0 victory for the Sky Blue Stars against Ortom Boys on matchday 15.

Both managers made a strong starting eleven for this epic encounter. Meanwhile, it was Coach Daniel Ogunmodede’s side who first got the chance to score when Sikiru Alimi directed his headed attempt on target but goalkeeper Lucky Abdullahi kept it out in the 38th minute.

With the first forty-five minutes ending goalless, Remo scored two quick goals in stoppage time. First Sikiru Alimi on 90+1’ while Olamilekan Adams followed up with another on 90+6’.

Remo Stars are now top of the NPFL table with 29 points, one point above Doma United and three points ahead of Lobi Stars.

Remo will be taking a trip to Owerri where they will face Heartland at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Thursday, 28 December.
