Heartbreaking Loss: Sunshine Stars Assistant Kit Manager, Taiye Dosunmu, Succumbs to Gunmen's Attack

Taiye Dosunmu, the assistant kit manager of Sunshine Stars, tragically passed away after the team was attacked by gunmen on December 7th while they were on their way to Benin.

He unfortunately couldn't survive the incident and passed away on Friday at the UNIBENTH.

After the armed attack on the team on Thursday, 7 December, the match between Bendel Insurance and the Owena Waves, which was originally planned for Saturday, December 9 was rescheduled to Sunday, December 10. Meanwhile, Tanimu's 4th-minute penalty goal gave the home side the win over the visitors.

After the attack on Sunshine Stars, everyone was okay except for Taiye Dosunmu who was hit by a bullet. He was in stable condition, receiving proper care at UNIBENTH but unfortunately, he passed away yesterday (Friday, 22 December). Our thoughts are with his family and the entire team during this difficult time.
