CAF, the Organising Committee of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations has decided on the final squad size. This time, teams will be allowed to have 27 players in their squad, which is four more than in previous tournaments. However, it's not mandatory to include the additional players.

If a team submits a squad of 24 to 27 players, only 23 of them can be selected for each match during the tournament.

Teams have until January 3, 2023, to submit their final squads, which is exactly ten days before the opening match.

In case of a serious injury to a player in the final squad, they can be replaced, but only if the medical certificate is approved by the CAF Medical Committee and it happens at least 24 hours before the team's first match.

The tournament will take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024, in the Ivorian cities of Abidjan, Bouake, Korhogo, San Pedro, and Yamoussoukro.
